Talk about the difference between using Grammarly as an editor (fine) and using GrammarlyGO to generate the whole assignment (usually not okay). On your home account, turn off GrammarlyGO for younger children in Account › Preferences, and don't install the browser extension on a shared family device without reviewing which sites it reads.
Classroom-use recommendation
For classroom use, Grammarly is a strong revision-focused tool for grades 6-12 writing instruction. Prefer Grammarly for Education access provisioned by your district over personal accounts. Frame it as a revision partner: students draft first without Grammarly, then run it to see suggestions and choose which to accept, explaining why. If your district disables GrammarlyGO, keep it disabled for graded work; if enabled, require students to disclose AI-assisted rewrites and cite the tool in their process reflection.
School policy recommendation
