About Safe Grade AI
Helping Families and Schools Navigate AI with Confidence
Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life for children and teens. While AI offers exciting opportunities for learning, creativity, and problem-solving, it also raises important questions about safety, age-appropriateness, privacy, and educational value.
Safe Grade AI was founded to help answer those questions.
As both an educator and a parent advocate, Angela Norton Tyler became increasingly concerned about the growing role of AI in children's lives and the lack of clear, independent guidance available to families and schools. Parents were being asked to make decisions about AI tools with little information about whether those platforms were truly appropriate for children. Schools faced similar challenges as AI adoption accelerated in classrooms across the country.
Safe Grade AI was created to provide the trusted, independent evaluations that parents, educators, and school leaders need to make informed decisions about the technology children use every day.

Why Safe Grade AI Exists
Angela's career has always centered on one question:
"How can we help children thrive while keeping them safe?"
As AI rapidly entered homes and classrooms, she recognized a growing gap. Families and educators were being encouraged to adopt AI tools, yet few independent resources existed to evaluate whether those tools were truly appropriate for children of different ages.
Safe Grade AI was founded to fill that gap.
Our mission is simple:
To help parents, educators, and schools identify AI tools that are safe, age-appropriate, and beneficial for children and teens.
Our Approach
Safe Grade AI provides independent evaluations of AI platforms used by children and students ages 5–18.
We evaluate AI tools through the lens of:
- Child safety
- Age appropriateness
- Educational value
- Privacy considerations
- Transparency
- Responsible AI practices
Our evaluations help parents, schools, and educators make informed decisions about which AI tools deserve a place in children's learning environments.
Our Commitment
At Safe Grade AI, we believe that technology should support children's growth—not compromise their safety.
Every evaluation is guided by the educational expertise, child-development perspective, and decades of classroom experience that Angela Norton Tyler brings to this work.
As AI continues to evolve, Safe Grade AI remains committed to providing trusted guidance so families and schools can embrace innovation with confidence.
Because every child deserves technology that is both powerful and safe.
