Trademark & Badge Usage Policy

This policy governs the use of the SafeGradeAI name, logo, certification badges, tier marks ("SafeGradeAI Approved", "Approved With Guidance", "Restricted Use"), and the public verification page (collectively, the "Marks") by certified vendors and any third parties that reference SafeGradeAI certification.

1. Who may display the Marks

Only vendors with an active SafeGradeAI certification may display the certification badge in association with the specific product, version, and audience scope reflected on their public verification page.

2. Permitted use

• Use the badge on the certified product's marketing site, app store listing, and procurement materials.
• Link the badge to the official SafeGradeAI public verification page for that certification.
• Use the verification number and tier label exactly as issued.
• Reference the certification term ("Valid through <date>") in long-form materials.

3. Prohibited use

• Modifying, recoloring, distorting, or animating the badge artwork.
• Implying certification of products, versions, or surfaces not covered by the issued evaluation.
• Combining the badge with the marks of other rating bodies to suggest joint endorsement.
• Using the badge after expiration, suspension, or revocation of certification.
• Claiming SafeGradeAI partnership, ownership, or investment.
• Using the Marks in a way that suggests SafeGradeAI guarantees outcomes, regulatory compliance, or absence of risk.

4. Verification page

The public verification page is the canonical source of truth for any SafeGradeAI certification. It displays the current lifecycle status, tier, valid-through date, monitoring posture, and last-reviewed date. Vendors must not publish certification claims inconsistent with the verification page.

5. Monitoring & verification

SafeGradeAI actively monitors public usage of the Marks. Verification active, monitoring status, and audit timestamps are tracked centrally. Misuse may result in a takedown request, certification suspension, or revocation under the Certification Agreement.

6. Reporting misuse

To report unauthorized or misleading use of the Marks, contact hello@safegradeai.com with the product name and a link to the questioned material.

7. Reservation of rights

SafeGradeAI retains all right, title, and interest in the Marks and in the proprietary components of its evaluation framework. No license is granted by implication.
